Our story begins 12 years ago where Peter and his daughter Sarah ventured out to open a candy store. Peter has been involved in the culinary industry most of his life. He has always had a passion for cooking and had the opportunity to open the candy store. In his past, he was a pastry chef which he enjoyed, however the rigorous hours were daunting. Since opening the candy store in 1996, Peter has created all of the recipes for over 70% of what is sold in the retail candy store. Some of his recipes date back from his great grandmothers. Peter has always been an afficionado of fine licorice and we slowly started carrying licorice to introduce to our customers. Little by little, we have added to our line to include over 150 varieties from around the world. Today, we have a wonderful reputation amongst the licorice lovers who browse in our shop to taste their way through their favorites!
Peter and his daughter Sarah have teamed up together and they make an excellent team! Sarah has a business degree and runs the daily operations of the retail store. Sarah’s specialities are packaging and retailing.
